# What's new in HolidayHero: late July 2026

### See only the guests who matter today

The Day Board showed every reservation for the day regardless of what stage it was in, so a busy property had to scan the whole board to find who was actually arriving or leaving.

The Filters menu now has a Day group with three toggles: Arrivals, Stayovers and Departures, each showing a live count. All three are on by default, so nothing changes until you narrow it, and toggling is instant since it filters what is already loaded. A same day booking counts as both an arrival and a departure, so it survives either filter. The row labels also now read Arrival and Departure, matching the new filter names.

This appears automatically for anyone with Day Board access. Nothing to configure.

### Custom fields for your guests, right in the inbox

Reservations and listings have supported custom fields for a while, so you could track whatever mattered to your business alongside the standard details. Guests were the one resource type that could not.

Guests can now hold custom fields the same way, and their values now surface directly in the shared inbox, in the conversation details panel next to the guest's reservation information. No more keeping guest specific notes somewhere else and cross referencing them by hand.

Set it up the same way you would for a reservation or listing: create the field definition once, then fill it in on the guest's profile. It will show up in the inbox from that point on.
