Better UI, Better Design preparing for the future
At HolidayHero, we believe software should evolve with the people who use it. Over the past months, we’ve received valuable feedback from operators, front desk teams, STR hosts, and tech-savvy property managers across Europe. One thing was clear: the backoffice needed to grow up, with you.
So today, we’re excited to announce the launch of a major update to our backoffice layout. It’s cleaner, more structured, and ready for what’s next.

What We’ve Changed—and Why
1. A new, cleaner menu
Over time, the menu became too long and increasingly hard to navigate; especially on mobile devices. We’ve grouped related functions into logical categories, so you can find what you need without endless scrolling. The result is a more compact, focused menu that works just as well on phones as it does on desktops.
2. Better contrast for a better experience
As more and more users spend hours a day in our backoffice, visual comfort became a priority. We’ve tweaked contrast levels, spacing, and font readability to reduce eye fatigue and make daily operations more pleasant, whether you’re checking bookings, adding upsells, or managing content.
3. Wide screen support
Many of you work from larger screens at reception desks or front offices. Previously, a lot of useful information was tucked away due to layout limitations. With this update, the backoffice now fully supports wider screens; giving you more overview, less clicking, and more control.
4. A brand-new sidebar
As we add more features and tools, structure becomes essential. That’s why we introduced a new sidebar with clear top-level categories. This sidebar is the foundation for something bigger: soon, you'll be able to toggle between different "apps" inside HolidayHero—like the content manager, guest messaging, or translations, with one click. The first glimpse of this is already live: you can now seamlessly switch between translations and the main backoffice.

This UI overhaul is more than a facelift—it’s the groundwork for what’s next.
We’re preparing to launch a new generation of features aimed at empowering operators and hosts with more control, more automation, and less repetitive work. From streamlined guest communication to new upsell tools and integration layers. Everything starts with a clean, scalable interface.
