HolidayHero vs Bookboost
Bookboost is a hospitality CRM and customer data platform, strong on unified guest profiles, segmentation and multi-channel campaigns for hotel groups. HolidayHero covers the same messaging and data, then keeps going through the stay itself: arrival and registration, a deeper guest app, a native upsell catalogue that posts to the folio, and smart home beyond locks. One published price per unit, and you can start without a sales call.

Bookboost is a hospitality CRM and customer data platform, built to unify guest records across a portfolio and run marketing and messaging from them. HolidayHero is a whole-stay platform: the same guest messaging sits alongside arrival, the guest app, revenue and operations, on whatever PMS you already run.
Credit where it's due
Bookboost's data layer is the real thing. Master guest profiles that merge and clean records across properties, segmentation, lifetime value and audience insights, connections to 80+ PMS with a report-based fallback when a system has no API, and a journey builder with 30+ hospitality triggers feeding email, SMS and WhatsApp. Its unified inbox reaches across more channels than most (Messenger, Line, Viber and Telegram alongside WhatsApp and SMS), and the AI Agent handles conversations with a simulator to test it first and a clean handover to staff. If your problem is scattered guest data and marketing you cannot personalise, it is a serious tool.
Why HolidayHero
The difference is where each platform stops. Bookboost starts from the guest record and works outward into campaigns. HolidayHero starts from the stay and covers the whole of it, before, during and after, guest-facing and back office, in one system.
That shows up first at arrival. HolidayHero captures and verifies ID documents, with the accepted document type adapting to the listing's country, files guest registration automatically with the Spanish authorities through SES.Hospedajes (Italy and Dubai next), and drives more than the door: lighting, plugs with energy monitoring, sensors and climate all run from the same platform. Bookboost's check-in collects an identification upload and a digital signature, and its guest app opens doors through Goki and 4SUITES. That covers the arrival, not the property.
Revenue is a different model altogether. HolidayHero sells through a native catalogue built into the guest app, with per-unit and per-person pricing, VAT by country and real availability, and charges post to the folio through supported PMS. Guest inquiries route straight to the supplier who fulfils them, in their own portal, with the commission split automatically three ways and no front desk relaying in the middle. HolidayHero takes 3% on those upsells. Bookboost sells upsells as offers inside a campaign, and its catalogue comes from an Oaky integration, so the ancillary revenue stack is a second vendor rather than part of the platform.
The guest app runs deeper too. It adapts stage by stage against the reservation, guests and operators build a shared itinerary inside it, operators create, sort and hide their own sections, and each brand can sit on its own domain. Behind it are the parts a CRM leaves to someone else: an operator's cockpit, tasks, announcements, amenities and documents, guest sentiment detection, and a composite 0–100 engagement score across five dimensions, so you can see which guest needs intervening with before they check out rather than after the review lands. There are also two ways to build on it, a Headless Guest App that runs the whole guest experience inside your own app or site with HolidayHero as the engine, and an integration API for system-to-system work.
Then there is what it costs. Both publish pricing, which is refreshing, but they are built differently. Bookboost is modular and per room: €2.20 for the CDP, €2.80 for Journey, €2.80 for Inbox, €1.40 for the Guest App and €3.00 for the AI Agent, which is €12.20 per room per month before Broadcasts (€1.80) or the Insights platform (€2.00 plus €200 per creator seat). Over that sits a €399 monthly minimum, so a 30-room boutique pays the floor whatever it actually uses, and there is no self-serve start: every route in is a demo or a sales call. HolidayHero publishes €6.50 per unit per month, lets you start yourself, and charges a one-time onboarding fee of €100–250. HolidayHero is also EU-native, built in Amsterdam, with EU data residency.
Feature by feature
Give Bookboost its due: on messaging and data the two are close. Unified inbox, WhatsApp, scheduled messaging gated by rules, workflow automation, guest analytics, multi-property management, a public API and broad PMS coverage are strong on both sides, and Bookboost's channel list and CDP are genuinely deep. HolidayHero pulls ahead wherever the stay gets physical or commercial: ID verification, authority registration, smart home beyond locks, the in-app itinerary, custom app sections and per-brand domains, the native upsell catalogue with folio posting and direct-to-supplier inquiries, sentiment detection and the engagement score, PMS inbox sync, the headless guest app, and a price you can start on without a sales call.
Which fits you
If what you need is a customer data platform with hotel-group marketing on top, and you already run separate tools for arrival, upselling and in-stay operations, Bookboost is a strong pick in that lane. If you would rather run the whole stay on one platform, arrival and registration, the guest app and its itinerary, upsells that post to the folio, your own suppliers, smart home and the operations around them, on any PMS and at a price you can read and start today, HolidayHero is built for exactly that.
