What's new in HolidayHero: mid-October 2026

Guests see the language they actually speak

A Spanish guest at a workspace that offers Spanish could land in English after logging in, because only English and Dutch were ever recognised. Invite emails had the same problem: the right language was picked, but dates and labels such as the invite code and the Open App button still came out in English.

The guest's language now follows their browser, matched against the languages your workspace has switched on. A guest who picks a language in the switcher keeps it through login, and a guest whose browser language you do not offer gets the language of their invitation, or your workspace default. From now on, a language a guest chooses in their own preferences is kept. Login pages and the sign-in code email follow the guest's language too, and invite and other message template emails are now rendered completely in the recipient's language, dates included.

Two things to know. Guests who set a language in their preferences before this change are moved to their browser language once, at their next login. And the wording of a message template still comes from your own translations, so if you have just switched on a new language, translate your invite template or let Auto Translate do it.

Content gap tasks tell you which conversation caused them

When the AI could not answer a guest question, it created a content gap task, but nothing told you which guest thread it came from. Those tasks are now linked to the conversation, and the conversation card on the task page shows who the participant is, whether a guest, a supplier or an invitation, with their email and phone number where we have them. You can open the task, see the question in context, and decide what to add.

Analytics charts that match their totals

Two charts disagreed with the numbers above them.

On a message template's Analytics tab, the Messages Trend chart under-reported on days when guests in more than one language received the template. Sent, Delivered, Opened and Spam Reports are now added up per day, so the chart matches the tiles.

On the experience analytics pages, the Views charts also counted clicks, inquiries and favourites, so they ran higher than the Total Views tile beside them. They now count the same things as the tile. The percentage change against the previous period was also being compared on a different basis on some pages, and that is corrected as well. Expect some charts to read a little lower than before. That is the correction, not a drop in traffic.

Integrations

  • iCal. Reservations from an iCal feed now get the right reservation source when the feed comes from a recognised booking site, instead of landing on Other. For feeds we do not recognise, you can choose the channel yourself. Micazu, Natuurhuisje, Belvilla and Heerlijke Huisjes are also available as reservation sources now.
  • Sciener. Door codes are now named after the booker and the reservation number, for example Jan Jansen #10234, instead of the check-in date, so you can tell whose code is whose in the lock's app and unlock history. Codes that already exist keep their old name until they expire.
  • Sciener. Each lock can now carry guest instructions: where it is, which button to press, what to do if the keypad stays dark. Add them once on the Locks tab in your own language and they are translated for the other languages of your workspace. A translation you correct by hand is kept until you change the original text. Guests see the instructions next to their door code in their own language, until their access expires.

Also in this release

  • When you turn off the in-app chat channel, guests keep their Home, My Stay and Profile navigation. Only the Chat tab disappears.

Under the hood

Stability improvements across the guest app, analytics, smart locks and calendar sync.
