What's new in HolidayHero: 28 October 2026
Message templates can now target or skip specific listing types, Bookingplanner and StayNTouch room types sync into your listing types automatically, and Cloudbeds can note sold upsells on the reservation.

Send the right message to the right room type
A message template that should only go to guests in a Deluxe room, or to everyone except them, used to mean two templates and a lot of discipline. The upgrade pitch is the classic case: it makes no sense for a guest who already has the upgrade.
Message templates now have a Listing type condition. In the Add Condition window, choose whether the reservation's listing is in any of the listing types you pick, or in none of them. If a guest is moved to another room, or you change the types on a listing, messages that are still waiting to go out are checked again, so they follow the guest's current room rather than the one they booked.
One safeguard to know about: you cannot delete a listing type while an active template rule uses it, and the message tells you which templates are in the way. Without that, a rule like "not a Deluxe room" would quietly match everyone.
Your PMS room types become listing types
Listing types are only useful if you do not have to rebuild what your PMS already knows. Integrations now get a Listing types tab that maps each PMS room or unit type to a HolidayHero listing type and keeps the listings in it up to date as your PMS changes.
A note on the reservation when you sell an upsell
Front desk staff live in the PMS, not in HolidayHero. Cloudbeds has a new setting, off by default, that adds a note to the Cloudbeds reservation once a guest buys one of your in-house upsells. Paid upsells are noted after payment and approval-based ones when you approve them. Each sale is noted once, and third-party experiences never create a note.
Integrations
- Bookingplanner. Room types sync to your listing types through the new Listing types tab. If the rate plan includes breakfast, breakfast now appears in the guest's itinerary. You choose where it lands, every morning by default, and times are optional. This needs an extra permission, so reconnect Bookingplanner once from the integration page.
- StayNTouch. Room types sync to your listing types through the same Listing types tab.
- Cloudbeds. Optional reservation note when an in-house upsell is sold, as described above.
Also in this release
- The Messages tab on a reservation now opens the message timeline directly, and the old message templates table is gone from that page.
Under the hood
Stability improvements across reservations, guest check-in, analytics and PMS sync.
